The concept is showcasing family-oriented or "child friendly" (aimed at a younger demographic) video games that have dark undertones to them. This can be anything from more mature themes to inclusion of "adult-natured" ideals like violence, war, sex, or drugs- either in plain sight or subtly integrated into the medium. It should be noted that I don't think "dark aspects" of a video game suited for kids is wrong, it is certainly important for an intelligent platform to teach children the repercussions of these themes.
