To my understanding, is Calamity Ganon/Dark Beast Ganon literally made out of Gloom? If so, this means that this version of Ganondorf is by far the strongrst one, since he was imprisoned the entire time but still managed to deal this massive amount of damage with the incarnation of his hatred alone.
Absolutely INSANE game and story this time around!!!

I love this intro so much. It's intense and atmospheric and easily my favorite introduction into a Zelda game. I just replayed the intro part a second time using a 2nd account, in German this time bc that's my native language, and I was really surprised to hear Zelda call the Gloom (a word I don't really find too well chosen) "Miasma" in the German version. Ganondorf also says "a blade that's broken so easily by my Miasma". It appears that this is a much more faithful translation from Japanese and now I wonder why the Englisch version chose Gloom.

4:53 the reason ganondorf is under hyrule castle is because the castle was built as sort of a lock on ganondorf that’s why calamity ganon attacked the castle to break the lock so ganondorf can be free

The opening is up there with one or my favorite videogame openings of all time I especially love how Ganondorf was building up his revenge down below the Castle of Hyruke while the Malious of his Rage destroyed Hyrule in the surface in Breath of the Wild. Ganondorf is a mastermind he reminds me of his Ocarina of Time Counterpart in the memories I've seen. How he just threatens Zelda and One thing I love is Links chivalry he protects her from Mummified Ganondorf when he attacks. Overall this is my favorite interpretation of Ganondorf!

The depths. No really, the depths. I believe there's a lot of dark secrets in the depths, and it's likely something far closer to what people want to pretend doesn't exist in the game in the fandom.
For example, every single "spring" actually is above a Wellspring, which every Goddess statue shares a, clearly connected, Bargainer statue. I also would bet a guess that the depths served as a prison that the Zonai held, and utilized the ones imprisoned to mine for them, as many of the facilities and factories appear to not be "machine operated".

I do like the lore detail of Link starting with max stats, but losing it due to the gloom. Most direct sequels tend to ignore that and have the returning Link start back at three hearts with little to no equipment.
