I wanted to do something special for the 10 year anniversary of my own experience so I asked my followers to share their story with me. This is the behind the scenes look at some of the 2,163 submissions. The final music video will have more photos!

In 2010, 10 days after our 15th bday, my twin sister and I were in a car wreck. She died and I didn't. We use "Forever fifteen" for her memoir. Thank you for this song! âş I'm so proud of you!! Thank you for being alive today!! Also, I think we live SUPER close to each other!!

The closest I've ever gotten to taking my own life was sophomore year of college. I had ran out of my dorm room in the middle of a discussion with my friends. Something in the conversation had set me off and i just ran. I ended up on the bridge above interstate 29 in Missouri, and i was debating jumping or just going down the hill and walking into traffic. I ended up not doing it, and after a stay in a hospital im properly medicated and doing much better. To anyone who sees this, I know you hear it all the time but it genuinely does get better. Please keep fighting, we need you here.

My daughter took her own life 3 weeks before her 16th birthday. Itâs been almost 8 years and it still breaks my heart. All of the things sheâll never get to do.

I know this isnât about this but I knew a young girl (15) who just passed to a horrific car accident due to a reckless driver. She had gone through SO much and this not only reminds me of her but I just know she would have loved this song. I hope she can dance to it in heaven!!
