I feel like only depressed people can enjoy this type of music, deeply, deeply within their souls. Whenever i try to open Patricks songs when im with my friends, i have the âlooksâ which, i dont care, its too perfect to even have a doubt on its greatness. Its just, i do feel like most people donât get how great it is.. They tell me its âtoo slowâ. Is it? I love Patrick Watson's music. All the sounds contributing and forming melodies, his calm voice and the energy it all gives. It's art. He has his own genre, I've never heard anyone like him. When I listen to his music, whether they're songs or just instrumental (it doesn't matter because it's all beautiful), I don't have to be doing anything. I can just sit, close my eyes and listen. And it feels like I become part of the music. I don't have a body or a mind of my own anymore, I just exist in all the sounds going on around me. It's such a strange sensation and Patrick always has that effect on me. He's a very rare artist and I'm so lucky to have discovered him. He certainly deserves more recognition.
