I’m finally dating the girl I’ve liked for a year. Ever since we first met I’ve only thought about dating her and I just realized it this week. Every single time I’ve dated someone I’d subconsciously be attracted to them by comparing them to her. She’s the prettiest person I know, has the best music taste EVER (radiohead, artic monkeys, chase atlantic, etc), she looks like a laufey/mitski song, she’s so funny, literally exactly my type, AND she’s not like 20 states away?? she’s literally in my friend group and goes to my school. we’re the same age and have similar interests too. I read a quote one day that said something about how the right people are in your life but you only connect with them when you’ve increased your level or something (i’ll find it later) and it’s completely true. I never thought we’d date but she’s the closest thing to making me believe that love is real. If you think you’re unlovable I promise somebody will. Be unlovable to abusers, to people who do not deserve you. Somebody will be there to tuck you in and play with your hair one day, even if you don’t think you deserve it. Deserving doesn’t matter, what you want does. I’m so proud of you for being here and even trying to keep your heart open, I love you ! <3

aaaaaa- I don’t usually write comments but here I am
I went to my mother’s friend’s wedding on the 5/20 (extra detail : 520 means 'I love you') and I met this guy. We didn’t talk because I was terrified of approaching him, but I was enamoured of his comportment. He was like a magnet and I was strongly attracted to him. I watched from the side how he interacted with other people. He was so kind and respectful, yet also very confident. He made sure to properly greet the bride and groom too. He was just so perfect.
We sat next to each other at the long dinner table and I was staring at him all the time, whenever I had the chance to. He only asked me one question and I didn’t even respond properly to it. I deeply regret not talking to him, I had many chances to do so, yet the thought of uttering a single word to him terrified me.
After six months, I’m still thinking about him. I don’t know what my feelings are for him, but all I know is that I miss him. I want to see him again, even if it’s just once but at the same time, I think I should move on. I can’t even remember what his name was.
