As a marriage and family therapist, my blood is boiling! There is so much wrong here, so much! Where to even begin? I hope that Sam was able to find support somewhere in her life after all of this. This whole "it can happen in a moment" idea of deep, systemic change for people's mental, emotional, and relational health is not founded on anything scientific or even common sense. It takes time for healing to occur and always longer than we want it to. I wouldn't be surprised if there are far more skeletons in Tony's closet than we know about.

this man is absolutely fudged up! as a csa survivor who's been through actual professional therapy, tony is doing EVERYTHING wrong, he's ACTIVELY hurting sam, & the sexism is just absolutely astounding! also these women are smiling as a defense mechanism. when i told my therapist about my worst traumatic experience, i was smiling & laughing cos i was terrified. tony knows NOTHING about mental health, he's a grifter & a fraud who revels in belittling women.

It was nauseating watching Tony say that Sam's dad did those horrible things to her because "he had so much love for her". Hurting a child is never about love, it's about power and control.
