It's fighting a losing battle to try and silence the most beloved sports personality in the country, Mr Nice Guy himself who has never said or done anything problematic as far as I know. I don't give a shit about football but I have tremendous respect for Gary Lineker. As long as he doesn't go full Clarkson boomer arc, I don't think BBC have any power over him.
