RAW, SmackDown, NXT, Main Event, 205 Live, Superstars, LVL Up, these are just some of the weekly programming that WWE has put out that I can think of from the top of my head. WWE have put out many shows some good some bad and a few forgotten to time but one that I vividly remember and always found to be a very weird and surreal show was WWE Saturday Morning Slam. WWE Saturday Morning Slam was essentially a kids show and I only have very vivid memories of watching Saturday Morning Slam so today I’m going to be revisiting it.

Sadly I watched this at the time as I was in jail and that jail only had network TV and all I could watch was Main Event and Saturday Morning Slam and I was basically desperate to watch anything WWE. I also really got into ROH at the time as that aired on one of the channels we had. We could have our own TVs in our cells if we bought them that is.

"I watched their weird show" That's cute...I did too and as an adult, I actually did enjoy it. It reminded me of old school WWF shows after Sat-Am cartoons were done plus gave us two classic gems: Cody Rhodes doing the Carlton dance and Bryan Danielson / Daniel Bryan's commentary about bears.

I remember this show coming on back when local TV stations here in the US showed kids shows on Saturday and honestly I only remember the episode when John Cena was on it

They came in to this show at the wrong time because Saturday Morning shows were in the middle of getting phased out. This show would have worked if Saturday Cartoons weren’t already on their deathbed.

Show will be remembered for Daniel Bryan and the bear hug.

I'll remember this show forever. As a 10 year old kid who spent weekends at my mamaw's house, I always wake up at around 8 or 9 every Saturday morning to watch Saturday Morning Slam and I enjoyed the segments and matches it had.

I remember watching WWE Saturday Morning Slam. It was on with the 4Kids animes like Sonic X.

I remember watching a few episodes of Saturday Morning Slam. The wrestlers couldn’t do most of their moves because it was too dangerous to show on a kids network. Mick Foley was also the General Manager for this show… weird I know

I vividly remember watching Brodus Clay vs Curt Hawkins and Justin Gabriel vs Heath Slater.

I give them credit for thinking outside the box but wanting to bring in new fans by showing dumb down wrestling comedy matches not the best way to do it IMO

Speaking of WWE shows targeting a younger audience, you should watch the pilot episode of NXT Kids.

3:45 Dear God, how did I ever watch this show🤣. My taste was poor at 11. The only thing I remembered about this show was Sandow and that's it😪

I remember them censoring Randy's theme song because it had the words, "preacher, sinner, savior etc.". They also had Mark Henry come out to the instrumental of his theme song because it was done by Three 6 Mafia.

I used to watch Saturday morning shows like Dragon Ball Z Kai, Sonic X, & Power Rangers: Operation Overdrive.
So of course I had to check out Saturday morning Slam. While the show wasn’t great, it did give you more wrestling content to watch, as the network didn’t exist yet when I was a child.
