Around 1994 I played on a player killing MUD called Genocide. A MUD stood for "multi user dungeon" and was basically a text-based MMO played by college students using the terminals in their computer labs to connect to a shared server. Player killing was PvP - no monsters, just people running around killing each other. In text format. The insults thrown across the general chat channel were the surly, drunken, foul-mouthed grandpa to the early days of X-Box live. And keep in mind, people were TYPING them in between typing commands to kill each other. If you thought early X-Box was bad, it was nothing to the OLD old school.

I got a little toasted one afternoon not too long ago, and listened to "Kashmir" by LZ start to finish thru headphones. I realized at that point that although I of course had heard it hundreds of times over my lifetime, I had never really listened to it! The way it's composed, orchestrated, performed and sung is pure genius.

4:22, most days it is therapeutic to work on your car. There was one day I was so angry at a bolt that wouldn't come out and my acetylene bottles were empty. I launched my half inch ratchet. It bounced off of the garage support post and went through my driver side window. Since then I've learned to control my anger.😂
