I did nothing different during lockdown,i walked around with no mask, didn't get vaccinated,carried on like it was nothing, the only thing different was all the people were gone and it was so nice and quiet and peaceful š and i didnt have to wait in a line for anything. I loved that time,i really really really miss it.

The candlelit dinner at Costco thing is actually really sweet. When my wife and I were first married we were poor as dirt, but we would get a candle and dress up and eat at McDonaldās or Panera (if we got a windfall) to make the best of it. Sweet memories

I used get so frustrated because I'd send my husband to the store to get ONE THING. We were out of bread, or milk, or diapers, or whatever. Just go and get the one thing. The store was ten minutes away. He'd come back 45 minutes later with the wrong thing. It wasn't until after he stopped drinking that I found out what was going on. Beer World was across the street from the grocery store. He'd drive down thinking, "Don't get beer. Don't get beer. Don't get beer. Don't get beer." He'd drive around the block telling himself, "Don't get beer. Don't get beer." Finally he'd give in and buy the beer (which he would leave in the car until I was asleep so I'd not know he bought it) and realize that he had left the house to get something but of course he'd been spending nearly half an hour just thinking, "Don't get beer," so by that point he didn't have a clue. He'd guess and buy something and hope it was the right thing.
Alcoholism sucks.
