Inner Ear Balance Home Exercises to Treat Dizziness

This video demonstrates 10 exercises that can be performed at home in order to challenge and slowly strengthen the inner ear balance system in order to treat dizziness due to vestibular dysfunction. Perform each exercise 10-20 times, twice a day. Keep in mind that these exercises will not help with dizziness due to BPPV and Meniere's which are treated differently. In order for correct diagnosis, please see your local ENT or neurologist. DISCLAIMER: Please perform these exercises with assistance in order to prevent injury from exercise triggered dizziness.

These exercises saved me! I wasn't able to function because my vertigo was so intense. I did them for the first time for about 20 minutes and felt immediately better. After a few weeks my vertigo symptoms dissipated significantly. Very thankful this video was made!

So, short story. I had bppv 9 years ago, first bout, in the middle of the night. Then again this Christmas 2023 for 17 days. I started out by doing the wrong side with the epley, so the dics hallpike test is absolutely essential as the otolith in the canal takes up to 6 weeks to dissolve or 21 hours once out. So if it gets stuck it's likely to last much longer. These exercise in the post were useful because it shifted the otolith in the canal sufficiently to re do the epley on the correct side. 24 hours later feeling almost clear headed, first time in 2 weeks.

These exercises work, I am having to use them again because of a recurring imbalance issue. but each time i do these exercises for lets say a month, the effects can last nearly a year. It's worth it. If you find yourself getting too dizzy on the harder exercises, stop, wait and repeat the easier exercises.

Wow! The sitting and walking while doing head movements looks difficult. But I will start slow and build up to them. Thank you for sharing these.
