The reason police don't release all the details of a crime has nothing to do with preventing amateur sleuths getting in the way - it's so that they can determine guilt - if the suspect knows details which haven't been released then they are the killer. It also prevents false confessions being taken seriously.

This is one of those cases I truly hope gets solved soon, these poor girls knew something was up and in their last minutes they didn't let themselves be overcome by fear, they did something that most adults probably wouldn't even think of doing if they were in that situation, they took pictures, videos and recordings of their soon to be murderer, I really hope that this case gets solved one day soon, and when it does, the credit should go to those 2 smart brave girls.

I think police may also try and hold some stuff bc of a thing called "guilt knowledge". They don't want to release EVERYTHING they have to the public bc then when they catch their guy, they can use it against him. Like that person says something by accident or admits to something that only the perp would've known because it wasn't anywhere in the public space.

I knew about this case when it happened and is one I just hope I can get closure for before I pass away....it breaks my heart to think these girls got evidence on their phones of their killer and yet he's not caught years later

There's a podcast series called "Down the hill: the Delphi murders" which goes into immense detail about this case, definitely recommend listening. One take away is that the police definitely have much more information (and more video/ audio) than the public have been given.

Hey everyone! There has been an update! 50 year old Richard Allen was arrested in November 2022 for this charge and is currently on trial as of December 2022. He is currently charged with 2 counts of murder and is pleading not guilty. He claims to have been on the same bridge that day but denies knowing the victims. Cause of death is unreleased at this time.

My brother was friends with these girls. They lived 20 minutes from us. This tragedy is horrifyingly still not solved and the police think that the killer is still living in town. It’s crazy how different the video and initial sketch was and how different the new sketch is from the old one. I pray the families finally find peace some day and I hope this man or men is caught and destroyed for what he did to these babies.

I heard there was more audio, on the phone, than just "down the hill". Reportedly, the police said it was too disturbing to release to the public.

They now know who was using the Anthony Shots profile and he is currently serving time for C.P. :(
He was using the profile to speak to one of the girls and admits to this. He is from Delphi so he knew the area as well.
I really think this is probably the guy but they haven't charged him. It makes me wonder if they didn't get a complete DNA profile from the scene. If they didn't, they could only use the DNA to rule people out with instead ID.

They have one man that is arrested and one podcast got there hands on the interrogation papers, he has admitted to being behind the account and that he has had a conversation with one of the girls. He got arrested for having CP in his position and he had tried to meet up with multiple girls that was underaged

I knew the murderer, and he just admitted that he did it. He worked at the Delphi CVS and I know him, which is scary, because I knew a murderer
