My mother was a musicians who specislised in 19th century folk music. She played pretty much any instrument, but preferred obscure ones like the hammer dulcimer. At the same time she was a product of the 60s. A lot of hippie, disco, blues, and rock to come before and practiced by her. Unfortunately my mother and best friend passed when I was 18 in 2012. When I hear songs like this I always think of her. So many meaningful lyrics in a simple melody with a complex harmony. Songs like this always reminds me of my mother so much, and I hope I never forget who brought me to music in the first place.

Voice like a warm hug when he sings that slower bit "so long.." great lyrics as always too.
This song particularly helps ease my anxiety and I love what the guitars, bass and drums are doing, it kind of shakes me out of my anxiety & depression and gets me moving. And for that I thank you all, even though I realise you won't see this. Ho hum.
