I have this idea. I will begin with the statement. “Support is strong because when you do your job well, you’re healing, damaging, and providing utility.” I think one way we’ve made supports less impactful without just debuffing them has been the DPS passive. Which lowered the value of there healing in a more circumstantial way since it depends on dps for it to apply. I think this concept of debuffing a role or buffing them by affecting another will be the solution to making Tank fun without it feeling oppressive to the other roles. I’m not sure how yet but my mind is racing with this new concept. Wadja think?

as much as the new changes do seem to be hitting an upward trend, the one character that i never seem to see any recognition in these patches is reinhardt
in the season 9 buffs, he got buffs to his HAMMER and his CHARGE
his shield is still at 1200 so it could be melted really easily
and his fire strike is still at 90 damage
the patch nearly gave everyone 100-200 health
and they didnt touch fucking fire strike at all

They just gotta keep the game fast pace, if its fast and the dps have power than the games gonna feel good, than just slowly nerf tank busting out of the game, you can leave small versions of it but like anything thats single handedly stopping the tank like discord, sombra hack and bastion need to go or be changed.

As a hanzo main, i understand the complaints against him, but this patch has shown how much he needed his one-shot, sure storm arrows are pretty good but you dont have those that often and i dont want to only rely on certain things that would allow me to one-shot (mercy dmg boost, discord, etc)
My main complaint is that he got zero compensation for taking away what he did best, at the start he had a big arrow size so hitting headshots were more frequent, not the best but its an okay trade-off for the one-shot, but then THEY FUCKING NERFED IT. So now what does he have? S. torm arrows and slighly bigger arrows, cool. I feel like they are trying to drift him away from being a one-shot character but they didnt know what to do so they just left him dead and spat on his grave. I know they community doesn't like one-shots but that didnt stop them from compensating widow for her projectile nerf and shes way more a problem than hanzo, but hes the one that gets gutted, doesnt make any sense. I'm just wondering wtf are the devs gonna do for him at this point.

There are basically only like 3 changes that need to be made in my mind to make OW work. 1. Make self-heal activate after 4 seconds 2. Reduce the DPS passive to 15% 3. Make a new tank passive, knockback reduction is very uninpactful and takes some of the uniqueness away from Reinhardt who used to be the only tank with it. I suggest some form of debuff/status effect resistance. It could lower the effect of debuffs with no maximum duration like damage boosts by perhaps a third, and halve the duration of stuns and status effects like burn and antiheal.
