Ok, so this is 10 minute practice session. Here I go over how to make your way through this concept by practicing over a favorite tune of mine. Showing you how to move fast and change up with pentatonic to use. There are three backing tracks to practice to including FOTD.

Then there is this one... Let's just call it soloing over "Motel West Coast"

THANK YOU! Finally somebody that showed the relations between pentatonic scales and chords. You have no idea, how necessary this video is.

I’ve been a player most of my life. Watched a bunch of instructors on you tube but I have never ever come across someone who could get me inside my head so fast. It’s unbelievable, stitch is a bloody genius. I’m 75 and I am a stitch fan and follower for the remainder, which I hope is a long time! God bless you man!

My first guitar teacher used to say "just play the bottom four strings, the other two are for the bass player". Now I know what he meant.

THIS. This is the key I’ve been missing. I’ve been playing for probably 20 years. I can memorize songs no problem but I always struggled with soloing and improvising. This helps!

Wow, what a fun and easy to follow lesson. Within minutes I've been playing to backing tracks in a different, and maybe more musical, way. Keep up the great work!

Thanks Ian! This really clicked. It's not the only way nor necessarily the best way, but as you say, it always works and is easy to get started. I've been jamming to a few backing tracks with this and have taken a major leap forward in lead playing. I'm the rhythm guy who gets to take a solo now and then, and that's fine. But... Band hasn't rehearsed for a week - next week they might be surprised :-)

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Excellent framework for keeping up and staying within the chord changes. This will help my solos sound more musical and less like I'm practicing a scale!
