I’ve been a player most of my life. Watched a bunch of instructors on you tube but I have never ever come across someone who could get me inside my head so fast. THIS. This is the key I’ve been missing. I’ve been playing for probably 20 years. I can memorize songs no problem but I always struggled with soloing and improvising. This helps!

Thanks for breaking that down. I've heard people refer to just playing the "box" and didn't realize it's essentially the lower portion of the pentatonic "E" shape.

I’ve been playing for 45 years I would strongly encourage any beginner level guitar players, and combined this lesson with the caged System (they’re pretty much the same thing)
It will take longer to learn to shred but the finished product will be well worth it. This is a great lesson.

This is really good! I learned a ton from your video. So many teachers say to use certain scales, modes, etc, but rarely say WHEN to use them. ‘Play the changes!’ And now i have some tools to do it. Thank you!!
