As an average Sisyphus 55 enjoyer, I can confirm that Richard Wolff sometimes spawns randomly and starts ranting to me when I’m witing for a bus

The secret of this video is that both characters are, in fact, sysiphus 55 enjoyers

My interpretation is that as consumers of philosophy in a digital age, or at least as his viewers, we are apt to simply consuming the media in our world (sisyphus vids), but when philosophy comes into the real world we’ll not even engage with that real life experience and instead choose to tune out and continue on with our own little world

You know it’s weird to imagine how strangers on the internet can sometimes help us deal with our problems more than the people whom we are close to (not to say that loved ones can’t help too)

I always love it when an artist becomes critical of their own work and audience

One must then imagine Sisyphus cloning 54 of himself and then helping one another push that rock up that hill

It's crazy how when you make a general observation of what happens in our world, people say you're either wrong or right without inbetweens most of the time.

This video really encapsulates the feeling of not wanting to talk to someone but being too awkward to just end the conversation

"very different the way older societies used to live with nature. Not dominating nature." Is very reminiscent of some of the main points C.S Lewis wrote about in 'The Abolition of Men' where he essentially was trying to convey how modern schools and teachings seek to quantify everything around oneself, thereby losing sight of the subjective nature of human life and understanding. And how in our quest to command nature we have lost sight of the certain quality inherent to all things that make them greater than simply being a collection of atoms.

I, too, wait for the bus by watching Sisyphus55 while getting loudly yelled at by strangers

Like a leaf is part of a tree, you are part of the entire universe. You don’t need to be afraid.
