I live in a country very similar to NZ, Norway. What I miss the most after coming home after visiting in-laws in Punjab is exactly the pulsating life that India is full of. It is so quiet and it's almost dead in comparison here. It is sometimes so bad that we go into a mini-depression after spending a couple of months in India. As I always have said, India's greatest asset is it's people, and the life and friendliness of most Indians. Missing India......

I was lucky enough to live and work in India in 1983-4. I have never forgotten it, I still have dreams about it, and even as as Kiwi I feel homesick for the subcontinent (and for Japan too, having lived there for a number of years also). Natural social connections and social agreeableness are not the same in New Zealand as it is in many other parts of the world.

Welcome to NZ!! I can relate to what your wife said about sleeping... when I first came to nz I had trouble sleeping too lol.. so quiet that I could hear my stomach growling, rumbling & digesting all the food at night. I've been here for 10 years now I have trouble sleeping when I go back home to India because of all the noises and I find it so hard to ignore.

Karl, you are a true Indophile in every sense of the word. Your videos are awesome and so is your beautiful wife, Manisha and your family back in New Delhi. Can't wait to see Manisha's reaction to the beautiful sights of New Zealand! Will stay up late to watch this one! Enjoy your visit and have fun!

For introverts like me, I would love to live in NZ. The calm and peaceful environment is just heaven. As an Indian, I think Indian society is very extroverted (that’s not a bad thing though).
