"Y-You're insane! How could you do that?!" "I dunno, how could you kill all those henchmen? Those were my friends, you know that, right?" "Wait, what? No, I didnt." "What, you think i just strolled over to the minion store and went '500 henchmen please'?? People don't help out 'evil' people unless they like them, [protag name]. God."

I love the idea of "I used to be a hero" as a villain archetype. It makes them feel human and alive

…the YouTube algorithm is getting really good at giving me oddly specific playlists that are exactly my music taste…

What's so appealing about these types of playlists is although I know I would never be cruel or evil in the traditional sense as I care too much, it's a sort of cathartic experience knowing that you could be powerful and mean and cruel if you wanted and being able to pretend that you are like that, even for just 48 minutes, is freeing.

“you think villains are born with the desire to hurt? no, we learn hatred, just like we learn fear, and yet somehow it’s our fault when we turn to violence to protect ourselves.”
