It gladdens me to see that the theories of John and Mike Mews as well as of many other orthodontists are becoming wider known these days. Knowledge about correct oral posture (such as having the mouth closed and the tongue at the roof of the upper palate during rest) and oral habits (such as correct swallowing and such as chewing enough tough food) is knowledge every mother and father should posses as their children grow up. Not only because correct oral posture and habits will make people grow in a more attractive way but also because they will get better functionality from growing that way. For example they will have larger airways (a result of the maxilla growing more forward and outward as apposed to downward), be much less likely to get issues such as sleep apnea, be less likely to get sick as they breath more through their nose, etc.
I did not know about the sunken cheek trick, glad I now know about it. On another note, correct swallowing over time will aid for getting hollow cheeks. The reason for this is that you will not use your buccinator muscle if you swallow correctly. A lot of people swallow incorrectly by brining the buccinator muscle (among other muscle that should not be activated) into play.
If anyone that reads this as an adult wonders if it's too late to start using correct oral posture and habits I want you to know that it is not. Start by visiting the channel "orthotropics" on youtube, you will find plenty of information through it.
