The reason Dave Grohl is the luckiest man alive is because he is grateful to be the luckiest man alive, and I love him for that.

“Music used to just be a sound that moved the air until it became the air that I breathed.” Wow. What an insanely beautiful phrase.

Wow that gave me chills when he said the hitchhiker was wearing a Kurt T-shirt. I believe that was def a sign from Kurt not to give up and continue his love of music.

Whether you like Dave Grohl's music or not, you can't help but be reassured of what a good person he is. I love his humility and the fact that he doesn't think as above anybody else.

His Mom must be an amazing teacher to recognize when a child is NOT right for standardized education and to not have too much pride about it when it's her own child.

My heart goes out to Dave having to go through this again, but this time with Taylor Hawkins who he said was like a soulmate to him.
Dave is such an amazing man. May Taylor be at peace now.

I can't get enough of Dave's optimism and energy. Whenever I see an interview with him, I feel hopeful, excited and happy. I hope to convey the same kind of emotions to people around me. Thanks.

It's so wonderful that his mother, "got it" with him, instead of trying to fix him and insisting he finish school and go to college. Children learn in different modalities. As a retired teacher myself, I know that we need to teach children in all the different modalities, so we can find and teach to their strengths. This really needs to start in preschool and elementary. He was a lucky kid to have her as his mother. Thank God he didn't get lost in drugs.

Dave,
I'm sorry for your loss. Taylor was a great human being and an amazing drummer. I hope you don't give up on music because we need you and maybe you need us too. I don't think Kurt or Taylor would have wanted you to stop. You heal people and I hope you know your fans love you and all you do. My thoughts and prayers always.

Sincerely,
Just some fan

Dave Grohl has to be one of the most genuine people in music. No facade, no attitude, just a man with a story who happens to be famous. I adore his stories and his love of Kurt. He has never tried to capitalize on Kurts death nor has Krist. They have always had my respect. Such an AMAZING musician but an even more AMAZING human. Dave, you were so loved in the 90's as a drummer but continued on to be loved as a songwriter, guitarist and creator.

Gotta admit, I'm not a Fooies devotee, but I'm completely enthralled by Dave, he's utterly charming, especially when he's being a massive music geek.

It's funny to hear Dave Grohl talk about being star struck. I got to meet him briefly when I was 13 and I was in such awe standing in front of a guy that I basically idolized that there is absolutely no way he didn't see it written on my face. He was super cool about it, asked if I was having fun, and went on his merry way. A humble and good dude.

Is it just me or does Dave have the snappiest snap ever?

He is the best, truly. How many rock stars checked in with their fans, personally, and not through a publicist, during the pandemic? I have saved two DMs from the man himself. No joke, not a scam, it was him inquiring about my family’s wellbeing and thanking me for following his career for decades and enjoying his music. He’s the real deal, the Elvis of my generation!

Him talking about the loss of Kurt, just stings even more now with the loss of Taylor.
