Here after the release of TTPD and so much is making sense now. ā€˜This song is about you. You know who you areā€™ šŸ’”

something about this song really puts time into perspective. I remember listening to Robbers a borderline unhealthy amount when I was a teenagerā€“ on my way to class, while reading and playing video games, on days I was too sad to crawl out of bed. And now having this spiritual successor to it, and knowing all the things Iā€™m going to do while listening to it, how itā€™ll age alongside me just like itā€™s spiritual sister song didā€“ itā€™s a bittersweet realization, but if Iā€™m going to get older regardless of whether I want to or not, I could think of no better companion to have alongside me than the 1975ā€™s music

It sounds like a mix of medicine and robbers, with shoegaze-y guitars, muddy bass, and percussions creating a dreamy and nostalgic environment. Befitting of a song that talks about remembering and forgetting.

One of or the best 1975 songs, in my opinion. Lyrically hits home to everyone and anyone who listens to it. There's always one person someone thinks of when they hear this song

I know a place It's somewhere I go when I need to remember your face We get married in our heads Something to do while we try to recall how we met Do you think I have forgotten? Do you think I have forgotten? Do you think I have forgotten About you? You and I were alive With nothing to do I could lay and just look in your eyes Wait and pretend Hold on and hope that we'll find our way back in the end Do you think I have forgotten? Do you think I have forgotten? Do you think I have forgotten About you? Do you think I have forgotten? Do you think I have forgotten? Do you think I have forgotten About you? [Bridge: Carly Holt, Matty Healy] There was something about you that now I can't remember It's the same damn thing that made my heart surrender And I'll miss you on a train I'll miss you in the morning I never know what to think about I think about you About you Do you think I have forgotten about you? About you About you About you Do you think I have forgotten about you? About you

one of the many things i truly love about this song is how matty healy incorporated the word "surrender" instead of the excessively used and cliche "falling in love". it felt so authentic in a manner that one would risk to knock down their fortresses for that person and it's simply enchanting.

Iā€™ve learned about this song the day after my ex-everything got married to the girl Iā€™ve considered family. It was like the universe was crying with me at that time, all the pain, frustrations and disappointments ran into my mind and I couldnā€™t help but mourn that day. This song came along and it saved me, made me think about the good memories and focused on that instead of playing back all the betrayal they did. Until now, Iā€™m here. This will always be my forever comfort song.

3:04 I love the use of ā€œsurrenderā€ because itā€™s like your heart is fighting so hard to not fall for that person but your feelings are so strong for them that all the walls you tried so hard to keep up start falling down. And youā€™re finally accepting it and letting them into your heart.

this is one of the dreamiest melodies and the song is extra special knowing adam's wife is the one featured as the duet.
