The 1975 - Part of the Band | Vevo Official Live Performance

The 1975 donā€™t stand still. Their vision is broad, and every time they drop a new album, that vision widens a little bit further. Certainly thatā€™s the case with ā€˜Being Funny in a Foreign Language,ā€™ the Brit outfitā€™s fifth studio affair and a radiant follow-up to 2020ā€™s ā€˜Notes On A Conditional Form.ā€™ But not ā€œradiantā€ in a glimmering way, like a bauble that shines a bit too much. ā€œRadiantā€ as in real. A sense of veritĆ© streaks through ā€œAll I Need To Hearā€ and ā€œIā€™m In Love With Youā€ ā€“ with Jack Antonoff, Matty Healy, and drummer George Daniel guiding the way the music was captured, it sounds like the band is playing them live. And thatā€™s attractive. So we had Team Healy, which also features guitarist Adam Hann and bassist Ross MacDonald, celebrate their latest victory by burning through some of their new tunes for our Official Live Performances program. With ā€œPart of the Band,ā€ come for Mattyā€™s incisive social observations, stay for the sonorous sax solo.

This song is unbelievable. I hate using such an oversaturated term but the vibes on this track is next level. Ups and down, lefts and rights, a journey throughout storytelling. This has instantly shot up in to my top 5 75 songs. Didn't expect this sort of sound on the new album but my god, I'm in love with it.

I was one of the rare ones who was immediately hooked on this song. Itā€™s only grown on me as time has gone by. This whole album is a grower.

I honestly did not like this song at first and now it's one of my favorites. It's even better live.

This is the definition of a song that grows on you the more you listen to it. Went from an instant skip to a definite listen in a matter of weeks.

they have one of the most genuine and healthy transition as a maturing rock band. people need to appreciate their new sound more. the 1975 ages just like fine wine. āœØāœØ

The outro is the best thing I've ever heard. I also love how his suit fits in all these BFIAFL videos. Like a boy trying to fit into his dad's clothes. Definitely fits with this album's feel of coming into yourself and growing up.
