I understand this song as a conversation between Matty and his conscience. Whenever he faces criticism he asks his conscience what to say about it and his consciences replies, for example, "tell 'em the things you told me" or "tell 'em that the Ambien makes me crazy". So it's pretty much a fight against his brain when facing the public. It's pretty easy the relate to given the world's current state, where every thing posted on social media (especially for the famous) is scrutinized in an exhaustive manner.

3:07 âYOU ALWAYS GIVE THEM CHICKENâ

Lyrics:
They're callin' out your name
Must have been something you were saying
They're callin' out your name
What should I say?
Tell 'em the things that you told me
They're callin' out your name
Must have been something you changed
They're callin' out your name
What should I say?
What should I say?
Tell 'em the things that you told me
What should I say?
Tell 'em the things that you told me
What did you say? Tell 'em that all the people made me
What did you say? Tell 'em the Ambien makes me crazy
What did you say? Tell 'em again, tell 'em that thing that you told me
What should I say? (What should I say?)
What should I say? (What should I say?)
Tell 'em the things that you told me
What should I say?
They're callin' out your name (out your name)
Must have been something you were saying (must have have been something you were saying)
They're callin' out your name (out your name)
What should I say? (What should I say?)
Tell 'em the things that you told me
Disorder, hate and fame (and fame)
Making sure that people won't change
Disorder hate and fame
What should I say?
What should I say?
What should I say?
Tell 'em the things that you told me
What should I say?
What should I say?
What should I say?
