Something very sad to me is the fact the demon is wearing a veil. It's such a small thing but a veil is extremely symbolic of a wedding and marriage in general, a lot of bride say it was the veil that made their dress feel like a wedding dress, not a fancy gown. The girl being depicted in white light just feels like another stab at the demon who gave up her purity for a sinful love.
So the demon singing of how she gave up everything in the belief the human girl would marry her someday, in a veil tainted black is just... Heartbreaking

Black veils are traditionally worn for funerals whereas white is for weddings. The god of death/the temptress/ Spider mommy Rafael J. Scrap has been seen with the black veil in El Tango Egoista and now smoke and mirrors but lacked it for Mysterium. This piece takes place before and of course after the marriage of the pastor and his wife ((I wish I had names but I've just been mentally calling them Sharon and Gezeus lol.) Their wedding it seems metaphorically "killed" the god of death via heartbreak and also resulted in Kaz's death.
White traditionally stands for purity and we see it represent as such with the wife's innocence and purity being shown through all white in her. Black being white's opposite of course makes the god of death who dawns the black veil, the opposite of purity but seeing as how they promised to get married as children one can assume the veil is supposed to represent the god of death's tainted purity and innocence through all of this. She did not have malicious intentions for Kaz and the pastor until they stole from her what she saw as hers. To her they are the tainted ones and the liars. She is simply trying to get back her dear one through any means necessary. The scenes for the most part all take place in the church, "The White sanctuary" Otherwise known as the "Rival agency"
"The joke goes something like this - a wretched heathen tries to lead a faltering lamb astray inside the very sanctuary he worships in. " She is just trying to lead him away from her at first, they begin with a civil conversation in the theme interpretations. Growing more and more violent only when she feels she needs to. I feel bad for all of them but the question remains: WHY WOULD THE WIFE CHOOSE HIM OVER HER HONESTLY. Rafael I have questions ;-;

Now this is a song that hasn't been on my mind in years. I used to listen to it a ton but over time I stopped and deleted the song for disk space reasons. Hearing this song again really brings me back several years. It also just shows how unique of a singer you are. There's just no one that sounds quite like you, and it's wonderful!

Dark haired gave up her wings, didn't she? She fell in love with a mortal, and promised her to be together. It is a sin, and she became a sinner and fell. The scream was from her wings being torn off?! That would majorly explain why she is so angry about silver-hair marrying this priest. She was cast out by the same deity the priest worships and she knows that their promise will cause her to not find that salvation he has made her believe. Dark hair knows better... so she she wants to save her, all while confessing her love for her.
"He'll say he loves you even though he only wants to cage your soul."
— He wants her to follow his beliefs and worship the same god. By following him, she'd cage herself to the same set of rules that dark hair was under when she made her promise. She'll do anything, even going against God, to protect and love Silver hair, and she knows following down that path would mean potential damnation and pain similar to what she experienced.

The harmonies brought such a mournful quality to the song and it really hammers home that for all the anger in the song itself, Demoness!Raf just feels betrayed that the little girl Lyra who promised her everything went to another. But we also can't forget about the anger because that agonized SCREAM at 2:21 sent shivers down my spine and I feel my sins CRAWLING DOWN MY BACK HOW DARE YOU LYRA HOW DARE YOU BETRAY HER. AND THOSE WEDDING ADLIBS. THOSE W E D D I N G ADLIBS. "Here comes the bride" like I was NOT expecting that but it fit so well with the unsettling tone of the song and really underlined a sinister quality to the music, but also emphasized the loss of what could have been and the broken promise of forever that the demonness still remembers and oooh my goodness I need to listen to this again and again AND AGAIN. Visuals - * holds your smol hands * these hands. THESE HANDS. SUCH PERFECTION THAT FLOWS FROM THEM. The art was breathtaking and beautiful and really set the atmosphere of the video so so well; I am absolutely blessed to see such artistic and gorgeous eye candy. Baby Lyra. BABY RAF. ADORABLE LITTLE SWEET CHERUBS AHHH I JUST WANT TO PINCH THEIR INNOCENT CHEEKS. 1:37 looks so gorgeous and beautiful with the gentle look on Lyra's face and the wings that hover oh so protectively at the corner, but at the same time highlight how Raf sees her as angelic and through her love-filled eyes sobs. And oh my goodness 1:47 the sweetness of the shot and how close they hold each other and HIT ME WITH THAT YURI GET YOU A BESTIE THAT PEOPLE SHIP YOU WITH. And the transition from the childhood sweetness of 0:50 with the promise of first love and then BAM a sudden dark turn to adulthood at 1:09 with Lyra's shattered look and Raf's gorgeous Junoesque figure exuding all that #accidentaltopenergy. And 2:10! That silhouetted yuri kiss! So pure and fluffy and and a deceptively alluring frame that makes the shock of 2:21 screaming, anguished Raf all the more heartbreaking. And the lighting! The dichotomy between the sweet nostalgic soft glow of their childhood promise and the harsh yet seductive darkness that came with growing up and betrayal is so delicious and I am L I V I N G for it. And don't think I didn't notice those Madoka influences - as the person who introduced me to Madoka that was an absolutely delightful aesthetics easter egg with the symbolism and unsettling yet haunting beauty of the video, adding to my absolutely adoration of this beautiful, exquisite animation. Loved loved LOVED these vocals, this art, this video, EVERYTHING. All of it was exquisite and magnificent and oh so breathtakingly beautiful. I'm going to watch this again and again and this is all I'm going to talk about to my friends and colleagues that my amazing, talented, goddess-incarnate best friend created such a masterpiece.
