Fun fact:in the Brazilian version of the game Waltz calls Aiden "filho (son)" and when Aiden says he tortured mia and gim he says:"eu nunca machucaria meus filhos (i would never hurt my kids)"

Close to the end you can see in X13, aiden and mia's beds are more decorated and have more stuff around them, showing they were in fact treated differently.
Mia being Waltz's daughter, and aiden being more resilient and mia's best friend

I made the final choices thinking I was gonna sacrifice Aiden and save lawan. Got a bit tilted when both of them survived and the city got bombed.

When Hakon gets shot my game glitched and Hakon was invisible so for the entire cutscene I still heard the audio but Aiden was talking to a floating arrow

Actually there is a line in the boss fight where waltz calls Aiden his son before one of the phases

I have to lean towards: "Waltz is a malignant narcissist (evil SOB)." Aiden's problem with interpreting the guy both ways has to do with the fact he was also the "boss' daughter's BFF." In all variations of the memories, you still have a bunch of abducted, scared children, with shaved heads; some of which "will never be seen again (confirmed by third parties)." The main reason Aiden likely has 'positive' memories at all is because of the girl. Kids like Lawan didn't see those same benefits. In the initial conversation with Waltz, he only decides not to kill Aiden, because he is "Aiden." Before then, as far as he knew, Aiden was "just another kid who 'should have been killed'."

i already want a dying light 3 now or dlcs which dives deeper into what happened after the first game and before the second , or a storyline where we get to play as a half infected aiden more

Territory does not confirm who get the ending cutscene. Its the broadcast tower that does, as long as you don't kill Jack Matt. I actually got an ending where this happened. I went with the butcher, but Jack's men actually refused to fight me and disobeyed Jack when the night runners show up. I got a survivor ending, with the Cornell on the bar's wall and the missiles blowing up X13

As my game bugged out during 80% of all conversations (having no sound and subtitles flashing for a brief moment, not long enough to read) i only found out what the story was through your video after completing the game. Ty!

Interested in potential with dlc, hope we get something post ending but unlikely due to certain issues unless they reduce hakon and lawan to cameo based roles or changeable support roles, will say miffed banshee comic didn't have an effect on the story but also glad, not good when you need to read other material outside the game to understand what's going on, we don't need another halo 5
