Im now thinking of a reprise version with the same lyrics but instead it's shigaraki learning of ofa and of deku's past, realizing they were both cast away, and then trying to coax deku over by referencing the way the world turned on him and likening it to his own story, reminding him that "heroes won't help poor folks like you" and saying what AFO said to him word for word, because AFO taught him and that's all he's ever been taught. He's opening a place in his throne room for deku and deku alone because somewhere in his cursed wretched heart he still has empathy for those like him. He's extending an invitation for deku to rule the world beside him as opposed to against him, symbols of how the cast aside and forgotten aren't worthless and aren't useless. And deku is standing there, fearful, because shigaraki knows and if shigaraki knows then he'll tell others and when the truth of his quirkless past comes out, would they still love him? And he realizes, that the fact that going back to being quirkless could change all his friend's perception of him, that he could be cast away again, he realizes shigaraki had a point. But he refuses to turn to villainy because his heart always wanted to be a hero, and he won't let shigaraki telling him words he never heard as a quirkless an invitation with no malice, saying he's worth something without ulterior motives change his heart. Maybe add a third reprise, deku's response, with lyrics riffing on shigaraki and AFO' words but changed slightly. Idk just an idea which came from this song. It's so cool. Like coffee for my writer's brain
