You gazed up at the stars, your head rested on their shoulder, a cool breeze blowing through the trees, no need for chatter, their presence was more than enough. You lift your head to look at them, seeing how at peace they looked, "I can't believe I have you" you marveled, they turn their head towards you tucking a stray strand of hair behind your ear, "my darling you have me, until every last star in the galaxy dies, you have me" they smile softly. Your eyes begin to fill with tears as your smile starts to falter, "but you're not really here" you whisper. They give you a sad smile and wrap their arm around you, "maybe not in this lifetime love, but I promise I'll be their in the next." You look up at them with hopeful eyes, a single tear sliding down your cheek, "promise?" They stretch out their pinky, "I promise" they promised. They glanced down at their watch and frown, "I'm afraid my time here is coming to an end" they stated, you looked at them with a pleading look and grab their arm, "please don't leave me" you whisper. You can see the pain in their eyes as they stare at your tear streaked face, "always remember, I love you" they said, trying to reassure you, "I love you too" you sob, "till we meet again, may it be in another life where we will be together forever, I want you to never forget that I love you" they assured. You watched as they fade away into the breeze, their presence no longer there, it felt as if a piece of your soul had been taken with them.

fun fact (cuz why not?): Your brain can't actually tell the difference between fictional and real people so it is quite possible to fall in love with a fictional character just as hard as you would for someone real. happy listening!
