Cool video, like seeing all your detailed testing, my 2997a should be here tomorrow š¤...any tips or observations on what makes an rc, or this one in particular, more easy to drive in a straight line, or controllable so I dont have to worry about flipping it at high speed? Would also be nice to actually hit a ramp when I try, and not just by luck. That's one thing that worries me about this rc, especially when I see some others that drive perfectly straight and controllable (hyper-go 1/16, for example, at 25mph). I'm thinking possibly more toe in maybe will help, maybe it's transmitter related, maybe servo or servo saver related, maybe it's just the way it will always be haha. I also noticed the new arrma mojave had a lot of slop in the steering linkages, or front tires, so I kinda ruled that out too, I guess

Brian, I've really been enjoying your HBX 16890A and 2997A video series! I'm about to start upgrading my 2997A, as I need to replace my stock ESC. I have a few questions if you have time to answer...
1. I plan to do the battery tray enlargement mod, which of course would give me more runtime on 3S with a larger battery - which motor do you think would run cooler for longer - the stock motor or the upgraded motor? My stock motor already gets very hot running one full 2200mAh Urgenex 3S in grass.
2. Assuming I did upgrade the motor, would you recommend the XTeam 3650-5400KV one you got, or one of their other variants (3660-4650KV, 3665-2700KV, 3674-1900KV, etc.)? I'm guessing the length of the can would be the limiting factor at some point too...
3. Have you looked into upgrading the servo, steering assembly, or wheel hub bearings? I find the steering to be the main weak link on this car (at least on mine)... not bad, but not great. The stock servo isn't very quick or precise, and there's a good bit of slop in the steering overall, along with wheel wobble.
4. Have you done anything with your differentials as far as grease, or even potentially trying diff fluid? I don't believe they're sealed, so I'll probably forego trying diff fluid, but I may try some thicker grease in there next time I open them up.
Thanks for all the great content and for taking us along for the ride! I've bought, or am considering buying, much of what you've demo'd, so your sponsors are definitely seeing a return!

I love the videos on this truck. I have seen lots of reviews of it on youtube but no one else has made upgrade and testing videos like you and I definitely think this truck deserves it. I followed your video on extending the battery box and even ordered a couple liperiAir batteries after your testing. 60+ mph seems crazy for this truck but maybe I will need to do some other upgrades.
