Thanks. I just got a second hand set up. I think I got this scenario. I have a capacitor on the esc that got hot quickly. I probably tried it 3 times on the throttle on the bench for about 15-30 seconds. Is that enough to damage the esc/motor please?

I'm here because I searched YouTube for 'noisy brushless motor' in an attempt to figure out why my wood stove's blower motor was making a noise sounding like the blades were hitting the metal sides. I already knew the rheostat (speed controller) was faulty, but had no idea IT could be the cause of the extra noises. Thanks for making this video. I'll replace the rheostat and keep the motor/blades.

Hey I have a problem with my sensored motor in my touring car. it works like it should most of the time, it can slowly start up without cogging and so on. But if I pull the car backwards and slowly get on the throttle, it shouts out backwards even if there is sensors and everything to prevent this happening. Do you think something is wrong or is this normal???

Omg, thank you! It's so obvious now. I didn't solder them at all yet. 4082+150a are just heat shrinked together for initial testing. Ok... Time to solder

My Sidewinder ESC started cogging and I traced it to the plugs. Cleaned it, ran it for a bit fine, then every time it flipped over or came to a stop, it started cogging. I never had any issues like this before. I’m thinking I need to try a more durable ESC.

Thanks for the video! I am experiencing cogging almost identical to what your video showed. However, all the leads are properly soldered and connected and it's still cogging. Can't even get the rotor a full rotation. Bearings and rotor are all good. Do you have any suggestions?

Is this the same solution when the motor can spin(I have a BLiTZ SCT) but when on the ground it will just vibrate?
