Justin Vernon seems to understand how to communicate emotions involved within certain moments in life that people feel but don't really know how to describe, or even realise they feel it. But he does it with more than just words, in the song 45 there are only about 3/4 different sentences, yet a million emotions are communicated. It's like he's tapped into something different. He's a genius.

"I don't know about the whole tradition of 'leaving the stage and coming back' thing. So, we're gonna literally play two more songs and then we're all gonna be okay, and we're gonna be really happy, and we're gonna love each other, and we're gonna go take care of each other and the whole other, all the shit that's going on."

From 5:30 , only Bon Iver could turn ‘but I gotta fold my clothes’ into the sickest drop, actually breathtaking

this is why i personally think "22, a million" is the best album justin and co have released thus far. there is so much fucking emotion that is perfectly translated with the glitches and vocal effects and sampling. i cried listening to both the album and this live performance. they keep outdoing themselves. aoty, 2016.
