Phil REALLY wants to try a Corn Dog. He's been asking about corn dogs for YEARS! So we decided to taste test the menu at Sonic Drive-In, a restaurant known for slushies, hot dogs and corn dogs. Phil is from Germany and corn dogs are not a common food. Germany is a country full of sausages, but corn dogs are a very rare find. In this video, Phil tries not just one, but two corn dogs! What are your thoughts on corn dogs? Are they overrated or do you love them? #SonicDrivein #AmericanFood #CornDog

If you love corn dogs and other amazing food, find a nice, big state fair to go to when your in the states for the Summer! That would be a great video!

If you stay there to eat you can press the button and request them to bring the sauces they forgot to include (or anything else you need) šŸ˜

6/10 is about the best you can expect from fast food. That second corn dog looks incredible. Iā€™d rather eat there than fast food drive-thrus.

I'm 62 years old and live in Pennsylvania and not one restaurant has ever asked for a tip before we ate or meal or even after.

Man, i worked fast food before i went to University and back then, the job sucked and the pay was worse, but we still made sure peopleā€™s orders were correct and apologized if we messed up. Nowadays, the customer service is so bad i refuse to eat at any of these places. And tip before service? They can eat my corndogā€¦

There is nothing better than a corndog with mustard. The single greatest fair food money can buy.

Also Deana I feel for you. I too canā€™t get the excitement of going to Sonic. Last time I went the locked up the restroom because of homeless issue and were skimpy on sauce packets. You probably couldā€™ve ask for them but yea the service person didnā€™t sound thrill to serve you

yo love your vids. i live in canada (almost all of us live near the border btw) and we don't get asked for tips up front at fast food places. tips are expected at sit down restaraunts and for some services like a haircut or movers.

I love corndogs. Sonic has great chili dogs. Tipping has gotten out of hand, Iā€™ve stopped tipping altogether now if my meal isnā€™t dine in. If there wasnā€™t a server refilling my drinks, I dont tip.

You love corn dogs? You would love their Korean counterpart! EDIT: Oh, that Mr. Cow thing is very Korean-like.

in Schleswig-Holstein french toast is a normal thing but we call it Armer Ritter. you can make it sweet like the one you eat in the video or with blackbread and chives or onions

This was fun! Used to take my daughter to Weinerschnitzel in California for a corn dog after Sunday school.

There are pros and cons to tipping culture. I was a server in college and on a good night my tips made my wage equal $35/hr but on slow nights it was like $8/hr in 2006 so šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø. Also u gotta slather that corn dog in mustard šŸ˜‚

Surely you can't keep tipping a fast food place that forgets part of your order ,every time !! šŸ‘‹šŸ‡³šŸ‡æ NZ

If you havenā€™t already, visit the State Fair of Texas in September-October and get a Fletchers corny dog. People line up for these, and its a REAL corny dog!

That Mr. Cow place was totally just Korean style corndogs. Maybe not the flamin' hot, but definitely those "french fry" corn dogs.

The Sonic headquarters in Oklahoma City in the Bricktown District (which is a district within downtown OKC) has a restaurant on the ground floor and itā€™s the only Sonic thatā€™s not a drive-in or drive-thru. It is themed like a 1950s/1960s diner with booths and tables and you order from a counter just like you would at any other fast food. To be fair, Bricktown is an entertainment and dining district so people arenā€™t usually going there for fast food (although thereā€™s also a McDonaldā€™s in Bricktown, too), but it is there for folks in the district who want to go to it. So if youā€™re ever in OKC you should stop in there just to see the Sonic thatā€™s a sit down restaurant. The food is the same. Most folks where I live mostly go to Sonic to get custom drinks like a cherry vanilla Dr Pepper, raspberry Sprite with Nerds in it, etc during happy hour. Or to get root beer floats or coke floats, etc (because our A&W restaurant closed so it and Braumā€™s are the only restaurants left that still serve ice cream floats). My town has 3 McDonaldā€™s and 4 Sonicā€™s (one at each cardinal point of entry of the town along the two major US highways that intersect my city) [my city has 51,000 people and has 8 Dollar Generals nowā€¦.I grew up here in the 1980s and 1990s with a population of 45,000 and we had two, moved away and then moved back in 2004 and we had 4 with a population of 49,000 and now in 2023 thereā€™s 8! Theyā€™re like everywhere now itā€™s weird!]. At least they remembered a straw for your drink! But sucks that they forgot your condiments. Phil is right, a lot of that food is better with sauces. At least the Blast didnā€™t disappoint (Phil said itā€™s hard to mess up, but as a former Crew Trainer for a McDonaldā€™s I can attest that Iā€™ve worked with folks who accomplished that difficult taskā€¦worked at a Braumā€™s and at a local steakhouse with some ice cream desserts and also worked with a few folks who surprisingly messed up ice creamā€¦.still not sure how they did it!). Great video!

If you're sitting at the drive in just tell them if your order is wrong. They've always fixed it, with tip or no. Extremely friendly. I usually don't tip at Sonic but if I do, it's in cash.
