Everyone is accusing Marty of doing something with that girl. Why nobody is asking the simple question: a) Why was a 16 year old drunk like a skunk? b) Why was a 16 year old going to wrestlers hotel? Just to add. Not only Marty Skurll admitted that the incident happen, not only did he said that he will fully cooperate with any investigation, but the British police said that they have NO QUESTIONS for Skurll and consider the matter closed, as, in UK, the age of consent is 16. So, basically, that 304 destroyed his career to get her 2 minutes of fame.

6:40 for the actual downfall. The rest is a recap of his career.

You forgot to mention that NJPW actually wanted to bring him back in a commentary roll for their STRONG tapings, but due to heavy fan backlash they ultimately decided against bring Scrull back. They tried this tactic again with Chris Dickenson but as an active talent but again due to backlash online and IN PERSON, they choose not to follow through with it

You know Marty still posts vlogs on his YouTube channel, apparently recently has worked in South Africa, Qatar, had a 252 day reign as champ in Unlimited Wrestling in Germany, and as you said, works a lot on Mexico and Costa Rica, teaming up with Flip Gordon for AAA last year.
That said, what is going on with Flip? I mean along with him working all over the place (although NWA is prob the highest profile Stateside), he's cropped up once or twice on BTE, Sammy Guevara's Vlog, The Jericho Cruise... I mean, seems a bit odd.

Man it had to have been 2017 I hadnât watched ROH since 2014, I started watching in the middle of an episode Marty Scurll was the first wrestler I saw, had no idea who he even was but this was a time where the crowd got a wrestler over. I loved his entrance and style I liked him before I even saw him wrestler

Why donât people who condemn Marty use a fraction of that same energy when Jerry Lawer appears on Raw? Marty did one shameful yet legal thing while he was also drunk and even admitted to it, although his apology admittedly sucked.
He should be ashamed but not permanently cancelled but sadly the narrative people have in their own minds is that he pounced from the bushes when he saw an unconscious 12 year old and dragged her back to his lair forcing himself on her while she begged him to stop as he laughed maniacally.
Based on the girlâs own story they hooked up while both of them were drunk, she went along with it, and regretted it sometime later. The girl was legal but only barely by UK standards so itâs a shameful night for sure but itâs ridiculously unfair that heâs blacklisted from most companies over something 1/10,000 as bad as what Jerry Lawer did premeditated multiple times while sober with a bigger age gap, against the law straight up, AND to top it all off said racist things in his own defense. âWell she had sex with a black man so can you really take her word for it?â Yet all of the same people who freak out over Marty being booked on a random show in Poland will happily tune into Raw when Lawler is on without a peep.
Many notable wrestlers still like Martyâs posts and hang out with him. I wish theyâd all stand up for him

I might be misremembering or confusing individualsâ circumstances, but I donât think Marty randomly/willingly chose to stay in ROH when the Elite chose to leave. Their contracts were on the same timeline, but Martyâs wasnât. Then when Martyâs was almost up and AEW was doing the Chosen One story, the allusions were open-ended with Marty being a possible answer but ROH was in such a bad way that they made Marty is huge deal plus appointed him as booker, so he took that deal. Either way, it was (seemingly) never that the rest of the Elite ditched him or left him behind.

The villian gimmick used to be so hot back in the day. We had fans hooting villian style during main roster WWE shows. Marty Scurll was one reason why I got into indie wrestling aside from Adam Cole in ROH. All in all, it is interesting to see that white hotness does not translate automatically to irreplaceability.
