Hey there, fellow wrestling fans! Wow, this video on Tom 10 Wrestling's channel about the downfall of the TNT title belt on AEW had me hooked from start to finish. But before we dive into the nitty-gritty of the topic, can we just take a moment to appreciate how amazing monkeys are? They're incredibly fascinating creatures, swinging through trees with such agility and intelligence. Okay, back to the belt! Now, the TNT title belt's journey in AEW has certainly seen its fair share of ups and downs. From the initial excitement and prestige it carried to some questionable booking decisions, it's been quite a ride. But hey, let's not go bananas over it just yet! wink In all seriousness, I think it's important to acknowledge that no title reign or belt is perfect. Wrestling, like any form of entertainment, has its highs and lows. It's a constantly evolving industry, and sometimes things don't go exactly as planned. But hey, that's the beauty of it! So, as fans, let's keep our cheesy sense of humor intact and enjoy the thrilling matches and storylines that continue to unfold in the wrestling world. After all, cheese and wrestling do have one thing in common—they both bring a smile to our faces! Keep up the great work, Tom 10 Wrestling, and thanks for bringing us insightful content that keeps us entertained and engaged. Can't wait to see what's in store for the TNT title belt and the wrestlers who compete for it in the future. Until then, let's keep our love for wrestling as strong as a well-aged cheddar! Stay cheesy, my friends! 🧀

Remember when Cody, Darby and Brodie Lee held the TNT title? It used to mean something.

The booking of Wardlow has been a tragedy. The story of Wardlow finally having enough of MJF's abuse, Wardlow week after week gets more and more over. The feud with MJF makes him a bigger star each week. He gives MJF his deserved comeuppance by destroying him. Then that's when disaster struck. Instead of making Wardlow an immediate main eventer after he destroyed the top heel, he's hot potatoed the TNT Championship. MJF's pipebomb shouldn't be used as an excuse, Wardlow was still red hot, AEW should have capitalised on that.

It's crazy how Wardlow isn't booked to run through all competition and go on an undefeated streak. Both Samoa Joe and Zack Sabre JR have had longer TELEVISION championship reigns...

The International Championship is what the TNT Championship should be. A workhorse title that's defended all the time on TV.

TNT Title History: Cody Rhodes (1st) - 91 Days Brodie Lee - 46 Days Cody Rhodes (2nd) - 31 Days Darby Allin (1st) - 186 Days Miro - 140 Days Sammy Guevara (1st) - 87 Days Cody Rhodes (3rd) - 32 Days Sammy Guevara (2nd) - 42 Days Scorpio Sky (1st) - 38 Days Sammy Guevara (3rd) - 11 Days Scorpio Sky (2nd) - 70 Days Wardlow (1st) - 136 Days Samoa Joe (1st) - 47 Days Darby Allin (2nd) - 28 Days Samoa Joe (2nd) - 32 Days Wardlow (2nd) - 3 Days Powerhouse Hobbs - 42 Days Wardlow (3rd) - 59 Days Luchasaurus - Current Only 3 reigns have lasted over 100 days. I don’t know how people are still defending this title like it means anything right now.

Luchasaurus winning it is good because it means more Christian Cage masterclass heel performances.

The worst thing to happen for a championship is to never being defended often, being hot potatoed, and having it's prestige devalued. Somebody's gonna have to one day bring value back to the TNT Championship. Who? Don't know yet.

Orange cassidy has made the International championship what the TNT championship was originally supposed to be.

It’s basically the 24/7 Championship, like even I could win the title

I genuinly feel so bad for Warlow- he has truly unlimited potential but this title really has hindered more than help in establishing himself.

It's even worse when it keeps flip flopping back and forth between guys who've won it and lost it recently. It gives you the perception that they have no longterm plans/faith in anyone who wins it, when it's mostly on management.

I went to the Dynamite/Rampage/Dark Show in Rochester NY in September when Sammy beat Miro for the TNT title. I thought it was Lame AF but only because Miro was finally being used good/They let Miro do what he wanted & He was wreking shit! But literally just like that , TK Not only completely killed Miro's Momentum but then put him on the shelf because he didn't "know what to do with him"!? (Those are Tony's Own words BTW, He said He didnt have anything (in creative) for Miro!?

It's practically the AEW 24/7 belt at this point

The main problem is that when injuries or contract issues affect TK's booking he doesn't change path he just puts things on hold. Thats been really obvious with the TNT title.

Aew seems to live by the idea that number of reigns is above length of the reign. Not realizing its generally neither and all that matters is how good of reign they have. Who they defend against, how they defend and how memorable the run is, thats what matters.

The TNT title was made for Cody ergo TK essentially made it Cody’s belt. Cody left to wwe making the tnt title the last cody creation (that wasn’t a wrestler). I think TK is taking out any frustration towards cody that he doesn’t show publicly in interviews on the tnt title. I wouldn’t be surprised if he retires the belt which would be great cause that would have 6 belts instead of 7

On top ot this there is now the international title (not the all atlantik title, those will always be different titles to me) that is currently being very actively devended by Orange Cassidy in a series of very good matches against all kinds of wrestlers. That makes the TNT tile look even worse in comparison.

One thing that wasn't mentioned in the video is that a few of the title changes were in the challenger's home town, so part of the title change booking seems to be based around short-term 'feel good' crowd pops but have no real direction or vision beyond a couple of weeks and a small number of meaningless title defenses on TV. Definitely seemed to be the case for Darby's second win and Wardlow's third. Wardlow's third title win wasn't even in his real home town, just a town he had some kind of historic connection with. Really short title reigns can be fine if it's not all the time and the title changes mean something, which so few of them have since Sammy's first win. One of the more frustrating things is that in the case of Wardlow (x3), Samoa Joe, Hobbs, Scorpio and Sammy is that just when it felt like they were getting a bit of momentum as champion, they drop the title with no build!! I'm naively optomistic though that the Luchasarus / Christian Cage run can be meaningful and lead to a title change to Jungleboy after a couple of months 🤞
