My brother is in active addiction, and this past year me, my mother, and other brother had to finally cut ties. 15 years of abuse and pain weāve endured from him. This song touched me because it perfectly describes all the feelings I havenāt been able to vocalize for so long. Grieving someone who isnāt even dead is the hardest thing Iāve ever had to do. Music is how i get my emotions out and i cant say how badly i needed this one. I relate to it hard (my mom), the rythm hits in just the right ways, and the breathwork is as cathartic (and similar) to a hard cry. Its like i can sing along and just open my heart to drain a little of the weight off my chest.
