This is probably The 1975's darkest song wrapped up in the most euphoric soaring instrumental imaginable, absolutely incredible visuals to match with the flashing light and kids running around in uniform with their hands in the air, absolutely chilling.

THIS IS THE MOST EUPHORIC LIVE PERFORMANCE OF THEM. THE SCENERY, THE LIGHTINGS, THE SONG ITSELF AND THE PEOPLE DANCING!! TY 4 THIS THE 1975!

Healthy and sober Matty is a gift to the world, his music has gone through the roof in recent years

Such a masterpiece. Originally thought it was a love song; the real meaning gives this track another layer. Huge fan of this record.

If Elvis Presley and Michael Hutchence had a baby it would be Matty. The guy is a hybrid of both. Such a great frontman, if not, the best of this generation. The 1975 is pretty much INXS on steroids and I love it 👏

I take this song and its "happy" presentation as great satire: to me the message is, as long as we as a society allow these shootings to continue -- and the ideologies that power them -- we are not only permitting them, we are celebrating them; I think it's brilliant that a pop song is uniquely able to carry that message

This is the best and truest song about people who commit mass shootings. We live in a society filled with isolation. Genius. Moving.

One of their most underrated songs. Definitely a spiritual successor to Pumped Up Kicks. Some of Matty's best lyrics and vocals.

The significance of the dancers all wearing the same “uniform” running from one end of the room to the other and sticking their hands in the air is heart breaking
