I've always loved your content as you make these countries feel like less of tourist destinations and more like real places that real people live in. Also just romanticising the everyday life to make small things feel special is such a wonderful tip for everyday mental health.

Your videos make me so happy, the “BONJOURNO” and the “Osaka my balls” made me laugh so hard that my family checked on me. I’m glad you are feeling better, you are doing great Martina!

Hey Martina, I started watching you stuff before you were in Japan. You're videos have always been a mood lifter and an inspiration for me tackling how I see life. I love seeing you enjoy everything in life from square air conditioners to just shouting BONJOURNO. I'm glad i learned to enjoy the simplest things in life from you

I love being alone with Martina! I'm living in Japan right now, all by myself, in a country where finding real and deep relationships is next to impossible. Thank you for creating such pretty and aesthetically calming contents <3 #buildaladder #kingkogi

It's crazy how high quality and creative everything in this video down to the tiniest detail. Also, I love how well-developed and fun the King Kogi brand is becoming with stuff like King Kogi Village and Radio - so much potential.

The joy you described of chasing down the yaki-emo truck felt like the adult re-creation of chasing down the ice cream truck when you were a kid with a pocket full of allowance.

I love supermarket tours (the real nitty gritty stuff. Is the hand soap amazing over there? Does laundry detergent come in handy single-use sachets? What’s the difference between all the iced teas? What’s unexpectedly expensive? What’s unexpectedly cheap? Etc) I’d love to see you go somewhere cute that they don’t have overseas, like the Sanrio theme park or an onsen theme park. Aquariums, please!!! Fishy footage with King Kogi Radio over the top would be so sweet. I know it’s overdone but I really like looking at vending machines and gaming arcades (as in, the places with all the claw machines). Not the weird vending machines, though. Something about seeing the weird stuff feels almost irrelevant to me. I want to see everyday life in Japan, and that’s just the “regular” stuff. I’d love to see you go on a tiny things adventure to shop for your tiny garden. Daiso shopping!!

I personally love it when you visit hole in the wall coffee shops and popular coffee shops in general! I hope you can squeeze more of them in your next quests! 🥰 Thank you!

Yay you finally created the join button on YouTube! I've been waiting for it for so long and now we can finally support you more than just with views. I've been watching your videos since 2009 so it's nice to pay you back for all the wonderful content you provided for all these years. Even if it's just a little bit every month I'm happy to finally be able to do it!!!

I love the rusty bridges and air conditioners! Arty people love that shit, beautiful lighting and composition can make the most mundane subject matter look aesthetically pleasing. We have greedy eyes as Margret Olley would say (Australian artist). I'd love to see an onsen trip. Do they exist in Tokyo?

Martina ! I’ve been watching since 2014. Your videos have helped me through the years with my husband being gone for work and tough times I’ve had with losing my grandma. We just found out that my husband and I will be moving to JAPAN !!!! I’m so excited and scared, I’ve only dreamed of visiting the places you have spent so many hours and effort into showing in videos. We are moving to snowy cold northern Japan, but still excited to visit Tokyo a lot and other beautiful places of Japan. When my husband found out he said “Oh my gosh I hope one day you could run into Martina and tell her how much her stuff has helped you!” Thank you for all your content and excited for many more ❤️❤️❤️

Huge tip to get that caramelization on the sweet potato is ripening/aging it for at least a few days after purchasing and before baking at minimum 450 degrees Fahrenheit about 30-40 min AND leave in the oven until it is cool enough to handle! Leaving it in the oven helps it achieve that soft pillowy texture, the ripening/aging and high temp in the oven helps with the natural caramelization (never knew you had to ripen sweet potatoes even after buying, asian mom kitchen tricks for the win)
