I've had a keyboard gathering dust in my garage for about two years and I decided to pick it up again about a week ago. I'm starting from the absolute bottom, being a complete beginner and in THREE hours of practice I have been able to play this with both hands; something I've never been able to do before. His advice to take it slowly and focus intently on just the little areas you find difficult is worth its weight in gold! Most people just mindlessly bang it out over and over and develop bad habits. It takes a diligent person to actually follow his advice and realize the benefits.

Kind sir, you've stuck my heart deeply with this unexpected & incredibly patient tutorial. Satie's influence in this piece catapults me ... yo, catapults me. I'm experiencing myself ten years past, supremely vulnerable! Sitting in what might be confused as a janitors closet teaching myself piano in between classes (incl. Gymnopédie No.1!! oy, the breath of those whole tones ). I haven't played piano in years, nor have I commented on a YouTube video, but now I'm thinking it's time. Hello YouTube, hello piano.
