The fun thing about stories involving the Military is that you can genuinely never be sure if they are covering up for legitimate reasons of National Security, to prevent embarrassment of some kind, hide incompetence, to prevent panic, to protect missions and/or tactics from enemy intelligence, or they just want people to think something for whatever reasons. This makes almost any such story perfect fodder for conspiracy and mystery. So long as we have "Military Intelligence," we can be sure that this channel will have good content!

I'm a pilot based at Cardiff international, right next to St Athan. We use J36 of the M4 on the way out of the controlled airspace surrounding the airport for VFR flight and you have a very good view of Pentyrch/Smaelog woods as you overfly J36. I can't imagine a military exercise taking place underneath the CTR there, you are literally a few minutes from an international airport and are still within the boundaries of the control area around the airport, not to mention the high urban concentration. Pilots who visit Cardiff often comment on how liberating it is to fly in Wales, west of Cardiff. If you look at a CAA 1:500000 map of Wales and South of England you can see that we have a tonne of unrestricted class G airspace, lots of which is used for military exercises as is made evident by the NOTAMs mentioned in this video. To carry out a training mission at short notice within the controlled airspace near the international airport doesn't make much sense to me!

Oh my God I saw this! I'm from Creigiau and my friends and I had gone for a late evening jaunt up to Creigiau quarry which meets the fields on the border of Creigiau and Pentyrch. We were on the lower shelf of the quarry so about 100ft below the fields above where these lights were and I remember thinking must be a police chopper looking for someone, not uncommon to see around there, but also being a bit of an aviation nerd it struck me that the configuration of the lights made no sense and were unlike any I'd ever seen on a helicopter. The other thing is that though it was clearly airborne, there was absolutely no noise. As strange as that is I rationalised that it must have been a trick of the sound waves missing us because we were far below in the bowl of the quarry, I assumed it was some strange trick of physics. But then things got weirder naturally the 4 of us were staring at these lights, confused and a bit unnerved by this object that we couldn't figure out, when the lights which had been in a straight row began to move away from each other, floating in circular patterns as more lights appeared and others disappeared, some turning green, then turning red again. Again, we questioned whether it was just our eyes playing tricks on us in the dark but we were all seeing the same thing. Finally the lights realigned before slowly moving off out sight, across the lip of the quarry and out of sight. Moments later a low flying jet passed right above the spot and we noticed a number of helicopters in the area as we made our way back home. For a weeks after you'd often see Chinooks flying low in formation over the village, which again isn't unusual due to St Athen being nearby. Either way the entire thing was very weird and to this day I've never fully been able to explain what we saw that night and why, if it was a helicopter, we couldn't hear it - Chinooks are notoriously loud.

I remember this event back in 2016 as I live not far from the area. Indeed it was covered by local media, both online & printed. Natural resources Wales cut down a lot of trees damaged during this incident claiming they were diseased, but still left the stumps there. Military resources were still in the area for some time after the event. Also military aircraft departed R.A.F. Northolt and landed at R.A.F St Athan in the hours afterwards. It is believed and looks like another Black Ops search & recovery operation, as the R.V. Point is made known to the military some time beforehand. These operations normally take place, out of the way, further north in the Brecon Beacons National Park. Why did it take place so close to a populated area is anyone’s guess.

I live near to Pentyrch, I remember this happening, the prime minister at the time David Cameron arrived unannounced at nearby GE Aviation less than 3 miles away on the same day as the incident took place. I have always felt this cannot be a coincidence.
It is unheard of for a Tory PM to visit the Labour heartlands of South Wales valleys also to visit GE Aviation, emphasis on "aviation"

When I first heard about this case and Caz's convincing testimony I got in contact with Jay from Project Unity and suggested he reach out to her for an interview. To my surprise, less than two weeks later he uploaded a very detailed two hour long talk with her. It's worth checking out if anyone's interested.

I remember this night well because my daughter was only 6 months old at the time and I was furious that the helicopters and aircraft were keeping her awake at stupid o'clock in the morning. Had I not been so sleep deprived and angry I may have had the Witt's about me to look out the window and pay a bit more attention to the events unfolding outside the window. Very interesting

Everything about this feels like a military exercise, albeit likely more of a top secret one, hence the late NOTAM, the larger no fly radius, the Prime Minister visiting that area on the same day, the lack of any conclusive video or photo evidence well into the age of the smartphone, and the hours in which it happened. There are more photos and videos of the Pheonix Lights and that took place before cellphones had cameras, let alone being smartphones. When video cameras still used tapes, and most cameras still used film.

As someone who lives near an Apache base they don't always seem concerned about the sleep of local residents. On one occasion a helicopter was so low and so close to my house I had to get up and lie the computer monitor on my desk down because it seemed to be about to fall over with the vibrations.

Shoutout to Laura and Erik at The Paranormal Scholar. If you haven't come across their excellent channel before, we highly recommend it! Their video on the Pentyrch incident is fascinating and features an eye-opening interview with Caz Clark herself! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VJTGpxOqzjA
