The plantar fascia, or arch tendon, is a thick band of tissue that runs from the heel to the front of the foot and functions to support the arch of the foot. Heel spurs are sometimes associated with plantar fasciitis, but are a separate condition. Degeneration of the plantar fascia presents the same pain and necessitates the same treatment as plantar fasciitis, but is technically termed plantar fasciosis.
Pain is almost always felt on the underside of the heel and most often along the arch of the foot. Plantar fasciitis is an inflammatory condition that is brought about by overuse of the fascia due to athletic training such as running, bearing significant weight for long periods of time, or jumping and dancing.
Those who pronate (roll their feet in), are overweight, wear old or poorly fit shoes, or who have abnormal foot structure are at a higher risk of developing plantar fasciitis.
Using KT Tape for this condition has shown tremendous results in alleviating pain and promoting the healing process. The tape provides comfortable support for the fascia serving to relax the foot and reduce inflammation.
Proper diagnosis of the source of your pain is vital to creating a treatment plan to reduce pain and improve function. Your professional medical provider has the tools and expertise to diagnose and develop a treatment plan for your specific condition.

I need y'all to know that I lived with plantar fasciitis for the last 10 years of my 20 year military career. When I discovered K tape it changed the quality of my life. I literally wore K tape on my right heal and ankle for over a year. The relief was immediate and while the healing took almost a year, thanks to your tape I healed without medications or medical procedures. I am so thankful. And that's been over five years ago. I may have to wrap my heal about once every 8-10 months now but its only for line a week. I am currently using K tape for golfers elbow in both elbows and Im mad at myself that I waited to long to remember my K tape. Dr. Chris is awesome. Truly improving my quality of life for almost a decade now. Thank you! J May, Major, USAF(ret)

I just tried this after years of pain so bad it changed the way I walk. I had tried everything. Special shoes/insoles/socks/night braces/numbing creams/cdb/ibuprofen/calf massage/stretches/doctor visits/physical therapy. Nothing has helped as much as this did. Immediately I stood up and realized the pain was gone. This is what it must feel like to walk around without constant pain! Thank you so much for this video!

This type of tape is an absolute miracle and whoever invented it should get the Nobel prize!

Interesting, got diagnosed with this a week ago (too much disc golf) and used KT tape for the first time this week, works pretty well. Kept it on for 4 days and today decided to go with an ankle compression sleeve but the tape seemed to work better. 2 observations: I have found a number of KT Tape videos (by KT Tape) each with a little variation on the wrapping and tension used (this one makes sense); also based on other videos it seemed like this tape was a real chore to remove but I had no trouble doing so, it also wore well during the day and with showering.

Plantar fasciitis is a symptom of problems elsewhere in the body. Taping helps with the pain but ultimately, modbilizing, stretching and strengthening the entire posterior chain is what will heal PT. Orthotics and "arch support" shoes actually worsen the problem long-term. Zero-drop/minimalist/barefoot style shoes will actually help strengthen your arches so they can function they way they are supposed to, which includes taking the pressure off the plantar fascia. But people think they can jump right in when really you have to strengthen and stretch the feet/calves/quads/hip flexors, lower back . No amount of special footwear will fix the problem.

Odd that there's no comments here, yet you have numerous comments on your other videos for KT tape application. I guess I'll be the first to comment here. :) I use this method of taping for my PF problem. I also add an additional strip (the 1st step as shown in the sprained ankle video) to give additional support to my anterior ankle prob). I'm an aspiring long distance runner. The PF is healing and I'm able to continue my training (mindfully). KT tape is amazing!! Thanks for the video!

@tommy1012007 Great question. Just adjust the placement of the 2nd and 3'd strips over the point of pain on the heel. thx.

@tommy1012007 The foot apps are harder because it's a hard place for tape- but make sure you rub your hand over tape once applied to get the edges down/ and activate the adhesive. Take extra time on this step- makes a huge difference. On average the tape lasts 1-2 days on the foot. Does that help?

If anyone’s lucky enough to read this. I had plantar fasciitis for nearly 6 months. Tried every stretch, iced it, rested my foot as much as possible. Nothing worked. I thought I was never getting over this thing. UNTIL.. I bought the copper compression plantar fasciitis night sock. I’ve used it now for over a month. I fall asleep with it on. And guess what? My pain is gone and my foot actually feels normal again. This is the honest to Gods truth. Try it. It really does work. You’re welcome! ✌️

Thanks for the post. We have another PF video that is older, but I guess people haven't found this one yet. Great modification on the app- looks like a good one.

90% reduction in pain immediately after applying, I hobbled from my car to my apartment after over training the last couple of days, was desperate, just so happens, I'd purchased a couple of roll a while back on sale for husband, but it didn't help his leg pain. major help for my heel pain.

I love your product and this is a great video. I also love how the company advertising its own product suggests using as much tape as possible. Where as other qualified professionals suggest using half as much tape for the same results.
