Forty-nine-year-old Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl will go to any extreme, and won't let a little thing like a broken leg and dislocated ankle - suffered during a stage fall in Sweden - get in the way. The former drummer of the grunge band Nirvana talks with correspondent Anthony Mason about reentering music following the suicide of Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain. Mason also talks with Grohl's Foo Fighters bandmates about keeping rock's flame burning.

Dave Grohl reminds me only of Paul McCartney when I think of a musician with such passion for his work and for life itself.

Dave is such a class act. Love or hate nirvana, or dave, or the foo fighters. His humility is something the world could use.

Dave doesn't enough credit for his role in Nirvana's success. Whenever people talk about them it's always all about Kurt and they forget that Nirvana went through several drummers first and didn't have much success until they settled on Dave. With the loud guitars and Kurt's screaming vocals they needed someone who could really wail on the drums and nobody hits 'em harder than Dave. By the way, not a knock on Kurt, he was great but so is Dave. Also Krist was too.

Decades later, people keep asking him about Kurt Cobain and Nirvana. He love them so much that he answers each one of those questions. It will forever be a part of him, and he wear it with pride.

I never realized he solely recorded the first FF album on vocals, guitar, bass, drums and keyboard. That is absolutely insane. Think about that!

Dave Grohl is the most blessed unlucky guy. My heart goes out to him for losing Taylor whom he referred to as his soulmate twin flame. RIP Taylor May you be at peace See you on the other side.

His mom's such a sweet-heart. It's the best to have 100% supportive parents.
