Addressing Anger: Gabor Mate's Approach to Understanding and Release
Gabor Maté, a renowned expert in addiction, trauma, and mental health, offers a unique perspective on addressing anger. According to Maté, anger is often a symptom of deeper, unresolved issues such as trauma, unmet needs, or feelings of powerlessness. He emphasizes the importance of understanding the root causes of anger rather than merely suppressing or reacting to it. Maté suggests that by exploring the underlying emotions and experiences that trigger anger, individuals can begin to heal and find more constructive ways to express their feelings. This approach involves a compassionate and non-judgmental self-exploration, where one learns to recognize and validate their emotions, leading to a greater sense of emotional freedom.

Maté's approach to releasing anger involves a combination of mindfulness, self-reflection, and body awareness. He advocates for mindfulness practices that help individuals stay present with their emotions without becoming overwhelmed or reactive. By developing a deeper awareness of the body's responses to anger, individuals can learn to recognize the physical sensations associated with this emotion and use this awareness as a cue to pause and reflect. This process allows for a more thoughtful response rather than an impulsive reaction. Ultimately, Gabor Maté's approach to addressing anger is about fostering a deeper understanding of oneself and using that knowledge to transform anger into a catalyst for personal growth and healing.

Why ‘inside serene’? The idea of ‘inside’ is to navigate and dig deeper into what can human change to accumulate serendipity of thoughts that will help us mentally sync to a healthier, better and more in control of our thoughts.

Being mentally fit means having the skills to handle stress, think clearly and make good decisions, communicate effectively, and regulate one's emotions in appropriate ways.

Let us join together on how to become responsible and highly engaged in building a community of good people. There are many ways to improve and maintain mental fitness, such as getting regular exercise, practising mindfulness, and seeking support from others. Inside Serene's goal is to build a community of mental support regardless of your colour or religion. We are ONE!

Practising self-care and self-love enables us to give back and love others. I need your support to clean our social environment of toxic people and become a more responsible content creator.

The power of words to control our emotions can be therapeutic to our mental health;
✅ “I'm here for you.”
✅ “You are not alone.”
✅ “You are worthy and deserving.”
✅ “You don't have to apologize.”
✅ “There is treatment available to you…”
✅ “You are strong!.”

" We must be willing to encounter darkness and despair when they come up and face them, over and over again if need be, without running away or numbing ourselves in the thousands of ways we conjure up to avoid the unavoidable". - By Jon Kabat-Zinn

Much here to commend, but much also needs reworking. Read a book on the key limbic brain organelle: the amygdala, which contains the 18 nuclei that power the survival behaviors/feelings that guide us through the choices in the outside world. The long described "fight-flight" reaction first named by Walter Bradford Cannon, MD, in 1914, is located in the cells producing CRH located in the walls of the 4th ventricle inside the hypothalamus, and in the central nucleus of the amygdala. Anger is an aspect of the protective survival emotions released in the "stress response" and fueled by dopamine, also critical for motivation, mood, and sexual behaviors. Sadly, Our Mad King (wannabe) Donald has learned from Hitler and Vince Mc Mahon how to constantly send out danger triggers to his misguided noncritical followers and they love getting high off of the released dopamine and endorphins/adrenalin, which they have become addicted to in our violence filled culture. Gabor Mate' (choose any of the 5 different pronunciations in this video) writes more about this in his latest book, "The Myth of Normal".
