The frites sauce is sold in grocery stores here in the Netherlands as American sauceš I always thought as a child that this was the sauce Americans eat with their burgers and fries.

As a Dutchie my favourite used to be the stroopwafel mcflurry, but I think itās been over a decade since they served that one. Also, sometimes during the wintertime they have deep-fried prawns with chili sauce, itās so good!

Please go to a regular Dutch cafetaria. You'll be amazed by all the good fried stuff you can get there. There's more to explore than just kroket and burgers when it comes to fried food šššš¼

Just a reminder for a recommendation: For Dutch streetfood, you have to try Hema rookworst. It's a smoked sausage and you can find it at the store HEMA. It's very delicious and flavorful.
Just make sure you buy them 'cooked' ( or cook them at home).

if that chocomel only has 48kcal per 100ml it's not the original chocomel, you got the "0% sugar edition" in that bottle, which has skimmed milk + artificial sweeteners. it should have 87kcal per 100ml. which makes 870kcal per liter. it's extremely rich in calories but so good.

Haha, the cherry tomatoes usually come with a Happy Meal. You can pick between cherry tomatoes or apple slices. these particulair ones are also called snoeptomaatjes (candy tomatoes) because they're sweet and easy snack on (snoepen is a verb similar to snacking in Dutch), not because they're candied.

I live in Haarlem, the Netherlands. The Mc kroket is really my favorite burger. When I eat McDonald's, I always order a McDonald's mc kroket. Soooo delicious. and besides the kroket, I think the big tasty is also the tastiest hamburger.

hey phil, the vla is indeed very much thicker. that is because it is commonly eaten as desert. mostly put in a bowl and eaten with a spoon. but drinking the vla is indeed very handy as well if you like it.

Yes, McDonalds burgers are very dry ā¹ Which is ironic cause they used the have the reputation of being very soggy like 10/20 years ago. My guess is that changed when they switched from plastic to paper/cardboard containers for their burgers. The steam from the burgers used to be trapped in the plastic and got absorbed by the bun, but now it's absorbed by the paper.

As a Dutch I definitely donāt eat the mckroketā¦it sucks (although my mom likes it so I guess it does appeal to some). I much prefer an actual kroket on a regular bun (wit puntje) with mustard. Iām with Deanaā¦chocomel is 10/10!

I never eat a Mckroket as a Dutchie. I do occassionally eat fried stuff like a kroket or frikandel, but we mostly fry them at home because it's so expensive to buy them at a cafetaria.
The cherry tomatoes are on the menu because McDonalds has a 'healthier' kid menu and so they sell these items also seperate. So you can get small carrots, apple slices and cherry tomatoes in a lil bag. They also offer a choice for a toy or a small book when you get a kid menu. Since children don't read as much anymore as they should.

I'm a Dutchy and actually like the McKroket once and a while. The single Big Tasty is my favorite burger from Mc Donalds too. And I love the fritessaus š I start everyday with a nice cup of hot chocomel (instead of coffee) I always have the one with no added sugar š„°

Dutchie here, McKroket is a pretty solid pick for me. Its not my go-to, as the big tasty is just way better, but the mckroket is definitely one I like and order from time to time

The funny part is we call that fritessauce "American Frites Sauce" to differentiate it from conventional mayonnaise. I think we call it that, because it's specifically popularised by McD's
