As a French , Lucie’s attitude crack me up everytime. She’s so French 😂 (To all the people complaining about her in this video, her not smilling doesn’t mean she’s rude or anything, she was just chilling. And In fact she was polite, she just didn’t want to fake having an interest in anime.)

Fun fact Shin Chan is so SO popular in Spain that they even made an episode where Shinchan travels to Spain just for the fans here to enjoy

In Spain, everybody knows Shin Chan and was dubbed into Catalan, Basque, and Galician too. There's even an episode in which Shin Chan goes to Spain on vacation, and the Spanish and Catalan translators of Shin Chan make a cameo appearance

I love the fact that Julia pointed out that she expected some actual know-around-the-world names. Usually every single episode of World Friends is completely void of criticism within the video and it's just always positive feedback. If it wasn't for the internet and being exposed to japanese culture, I would have absolutely zero idea who Doraemon or MyMelody are. My country does not have these shows/characters at ALL. There's SOOOO much to pick from that's easily known everywhere but really? Only Pokemon and One Piece made it? (And Kirby, but he isn't from an Anime or animation in general)

I love the animations made in Japan , especially Dragon Ball and Pokemon , i understand the many names have a different sound from the original , somehow in japonese sounds "more cute" than in other language 😂

This is real, in France animation is huge. It's the second consumer of animation and manga (importation) behind Japan since a few years . Especially nowadays. During 2022 the government offered a "cultural pass" check for people between 15 y.o to 18 y.o . Every youngsters (even the ones not going to school) could get it. 15 y.o = 20€ / 16 & 17 y.o = 30€ and when you're 18 you get 300€ to spend for 2 years. It is usable on books, cinema, concert, theater, etc to encourage cultural activities after pandemic. The bilan was : mainly (hugely) spend into mangas. It went into the news. One book out of seven bought in France is a manga.

She told the truth...In Brazil, most of these children's anime characters are not very well known, with only Charmander and Luffy being more popular here.

I feel that Lucie has been pretty public about the level of her knowledge and interest in anime, so doing yet another anime video with her in it was a deliberate choice on the part of the video makers. So, anyone who is upset at her honesty can blame them for subjecting her to this while knowing fully well how she would behave and not keeping her from doing so.

Threre's a long relationship between a television here in spain and the japan television which alowed Spain to have access to a lot of anime. Im a 90s kid and I have seen a lot of animes in my local tv which was not broadcasted in other countries.

In Latin America, Spain, and France as well, there are three pillars of Anime: Dragon Ball Z, Captain Tsubasa, and Saint Seiya. Though I can see why Saki would not go for them.

I totally agree with brazil girl from 7:51 as a french person because for exemple : Doraemon and Anpanman if they were diffuses in french they'll be totally different. . The fact is in these decades(80-90's), french studio change lot of anime characters names
