My grandpa was a law enforcement officer in a small northern Montana town in the 50s, and I grew up hearing stories about sporadic occurrences of cow mutilations and unexplained lights in the sky.
I always took it with a grain of salt until the summer of 2001 (may have been 2000, but pretty sure it was in 2001). The cow mutilations had started again in eastern Montana and made the paper. And it was just as bizarre as my grandpa had described it: drained of blood, bleached looking bones, scalpel looking precision cuts, lack of scavanging, and a lack of forensic evidence (tracks and such). Then the YouTube video accounts of actual officials in the 70s started discussing these events (Keith Wolverton, a former Cascade county sheriff, is the most vocal). He collaborated on a book with a seasoned journalist called Mysteries on the Praire (or something to that effect).
No idea what it could be (cult, government testing, aliens, cryptids, etc.), but SOMETHING has been occurring . . .

For some reason as he was describing the items laid out in triangles I just got this image in my head of aliens rummaging through his stuff and then being like "oh crap, he's coming back, quick put it back how you found it" "I DON'T REMEMBER HOW WE FOUND IT!!!" Honestly it at first sounds like alien pranksters having good, relatively clean fun pulling hilarious pranks. Then once you get to the cattle it gets dark.

My husband and I had the good fortune of meeting Jeff and Patricia in a small town in Colorado where we now live. They moved shortly after we met. We were sad to see them go even though we had known them for a short time. I believe his stories are true. He strikes me as a man of integrity.

The detail about the buffalo having been in an extremely panicked, maybe hysterical, state before their deaths seems to have relevance to some people’s claims about ETs feeding off blood, adrenal secretions, emotions. It reminds me of some of the stuff Phil Schneider mentioned.

In a lot of these stories I try to place myself in them as a "what would I do" type of thought experiment and right around when the Sheriff was saying he was surrounded I thought to myself "I'd probably grab my AK" right before the guy did exactly that. Had to pause the video for a second and laugh to myself.

Honestly if you live in Colorado, and you haven't seen something weird, you aren't paying enough attention when you're outside. Even well inside city limits, where you shouldn't be seeing apex predators or UFOs, they just appear if you're paying attention at the right moment.
The area you mention where this ranch could be also includes an area known as the Black Forest, and natives had all sorts of stories about it just like the Black Forest in Germany has all sorts of weird stories(and is near the Air Force Academy). 3rd bridge is also out in the north eastern part of that area past Buckley Air Force base, and has some crazy stories a lot of us know from when we were younger like getting pushed uphill with your car off and ghostly handprints on cars, but I've talked to cops who know all about the "Black dog" and "Black cows" in that area...
Last thing, I want to own property in this area and idk if you encouraged me more or detracted me more from wanting to live there...

I was a veterinary student at Colorado State University in the early to mid 70’s. During the summer of my final year we were tasked with doing necropsies on suspected cattle mutilation carcasses. It was a nasty job. Im looking forward to the next episode.
