Went to the gym for “Me” for the first time this year! Currently on a 2 day gym streak. When I say for “me” I mean that I work at the gym as a personal trainer or should I say “worked” an update video is coming your way next week. I ended up working out at 21hrs into my fast and it sucked as I was purely focused on strength training. With my experience as a personal trainer I’ve learned a lot and I’m so happy that now my workouts are more effective. I’ve also learned the key is not endless cardio but BUILDING MUSCLE! Cardio isn’t the primary mover for weight loss BUT it is essential for weight loss. The key to this all is bringing those blood sugar levels down and making you more insulin sensitive and what does that: BUILDING MUSCLE! Keep grinding and remember the comeback is always greater than the setback! Let’s go!!

Approaching OMAD differently this time: honouring my female hormonal system AND taking it 90 days at a time. 90 DAYS OF OMAD: yesterday was 20hrs of Intermittent Fasting + a 43 minute eating window. … holidays are here and you know what that means? A post holiday fast is looming! After the holidays I’ve always fasted to help reset myself from all of the toxic garbage that we love to enjoy during the holiday season. It’s easier to transition into healthy eating by using a fast. Why? Fasting is the fastest way to get into ketosis. It’s also the fastest way to lower your blood sugar levels priming your body for burning fat. It’s not only fast but it is effective. After an extended fast my taste buds change, I no long crave unhealthy food and the weight loss results as immediate and MOTIVATING! This Thursday December 26th I’ll be starting my fast at 7:00pm and the goal is to end it Saturday at 7:00am BUT I NEVER break a fast in the morning so this will most likely go into Saturday evening. The goal is 36hours! You are welcome to join. I’ll be doing a livestream to launch this fast! Also, this January look out for more fasting challenges and an entire revamp on my weight loss journey. It’s time to re-claim back what I’ve love and what I’ve deserved and that is a fit mind, body and soul! It’s also time for you to do the same!

There are times during the cycle where you want to take advantage of being in a low blood sugar state aka fasting/keto dieting and times where you should take it easy! Other times where you want to maximize protein and strength training as well!

I absolutely LOVE THIS! My new prospective on looking at challenging times. I will be dropping another video today talking about motherhood my experience around it. Oddly enough, what I will be talking about has nothing to do with my son BUT all of the hardships, financial stresses, criticisms and health issues I had as a result of it. This quote really resonates with the video that will drop tonight because if I did not go through what I went through I wouldn’t be here on YouTube today inspiring others to get through their hard. Please note that this video was filmed when I was deeply depressed. After one session of EMDR actually ART (Accelerated Resolution Therapy) - a branch off of EMDR I’m feeling better. Still in the same situation but stronger mentally. If you’d like me to do a video on how both EMDR and ART has helped me dealt with trauma and as a result my disordered eating (BED) let me know below! Thanks ❤️
