this is such a beautiful and emotional song, but it makes me relive my suicide attempt. it's scary how accurate it is. "honey, what'd you take? tell me what you took"; it's so similar to what my mother was saying when I came to her after regretting overdosing. "but if I gave up on being pretty I wouldn't know how to be alive"; at the time I was depressed and dealt with bulimia, I thought if I became skinny it would all be alright.
