Very informative video. I appreciate y’all doing all these different programs. I have a 12-year-old German Shepherd. that is about half blind and can’t hear anything anymore but somehow she knows way before I do that a raccoon is nearby. She then demands to go outside and roar and jump around and chase and act like is in her prime. The raccoons don’t know the difference so they don’t come around very often.

So cute and yet so destructive! Not really their fault though, they are just doing what comes naturally!

I live in prime raccoon territory. My chicken coop is located next to my dog kennels containing 3 coonhounds which help to keep raccoons away.

I stopped growing sweet corn years ago. A number of years ago alot of racoons died and I thought this might be the year to try again. I was wrong. So far the chickens have been safe from them. Cute critters though.

I would love information on opossums. I hear they are great to keep around for killing snakes and rodents but I'm not very knowledgeable on them. Thank you Brothers for sharing this helpful information with us all. GOD bless you Brothers. 😊

Bait live traps with a little honey. Be careful, some can reach through the small wire on traps.

Saw one on my night cam so I called the Extension Agent. They told me it is illegal to poison or trap to relocate raccoons but ok to shoot them. The agent said they have to be permanently stopped because they are persistent (like you said). I no longer hve a raccoon issue but I have seen a few opossums around at night. Are opossums a threat to poultry or vegetable gardens?

Rotten trash panda tore through the window on my coop and killed several of my girls. I have since learned how to better fortify the coop! While I appreciate wildlife, I prefer raccoons stay away from my coop and my sweet corn! 😊
