There are bantam goose breeds in the usa! A sex-link that looks similar to Pilgrims, mini Sebastable also...Holderread Farm has the sex-link and Alsquackery has the mini sebastapol....Oregon Mini Geese were developed here at HWF and are the smallest domestic true geese that we know of. Our emphasis has been on hardiness, conformation and sustainable small size. We are breeding them in 5 dimorphic colors and 8 non-dimorphic colors.

This was an unexpected treat....I never thought of miniatures as an "advantage" when space and resources are limited. Imagine an entire farm of small animals.....I could get more animals.....the negative are pretty serious too....great video....

Someone looking for a smaller goose-alike might look into muscovy, a little bit bigger than mallard type ducks but smaller than a goose. Plus to my understanding they will eat grass like a goose.
