I'm a writer soooo here's a short story for you ;) I watched the haze of smoke grow thick over the city as all I desired became reality. It was finally time for me to wash it clean. "What did you do!" He screamed horrified. "It's time... for a new beginning!" I exclaimed, excitment lingering in my voice. "No! You damn liar! You said you'd help me!" He choked on tears as he watched it all disappear. "Yes. Yes I did." I cackled. "I promised you I would rid this city of it's corruption. That I would aid you in taking it back from the ones who wronged us both. Well, darling, I succeeded!" I couldn't help but smile. It was all gone... the pain, the anger, and it was replaced with uncontrollable joy! With them all gone something new could grow. The city was free from their clutches now! "This is wrong Quincy! And you know it!" He was foolishly trying to reason with me. "No... no I don't think I do!" I chuckled at his naiveté. I gazed upon the beautiful inferno as it clung to the courthouse rooftop. A fuzzy feeling blossomed in my stomach, a sense of complication... and of the start of something new. "You know I can't let you get away with this." His voice was uneasy and shaky. I turned to him and stared into his emerald eyes down the barrel of a gun. "Huh," I smirked. "Oh please, humor me." "I'm gonna do it!" "Then do it." I slowly approached, my eyes staying locked onto his. I stood so close that I could feel the cold metal of the gun pressed to my heart, but I did not fear his trigger finger. "Oh darling you can't... you wouldn't." My hand caressed his cheek delicately, but then I reached and gripped the back of his hair roughly. The gun slipped from his grasp as he buckled under me. "I know you so very well." I stood there, him under me. That was the moment the thought rung in my mind... "wait am I the bad guy here? I must've been. Oh well whatcha gonna do." "You don't know me as well as you think..." He smiled, but I could tell there was a lingering sadness in his tone. I looked down, the gun still sat pointed at my heart. "Well then." I grinned. "If this is going to be the end... better make it flashy!" I released him from my hold and ran for the edge of the roof. I turned on heel to see one last time his horrified face staring, frozen, back at me. I gave him one last wink, a salute, and tipped over the edge to kiss the concrete bellow. The view was amazing, and the wind in my hair is a feeling I'll never forget. It was... freeing. All my pain vanished in the fire, and all my cares faded in the air. "So long cruel world, wasn't nice knowing you-" (P.S. I love this playlist!! Such a vibe for my hom!c!dal psycho villian lol)
